Embodied Rest Practice

Each practice is 60 minutes

biweekly April 1st – July 8th

In our fast-paced world, many of us spend much of our time in states of stress, urgency, or disconnection from our bodies. Each 60-minute session blends nervous system education, mindful movement, and quiet reflection. Participants are invited to explore how rest, awareness, and gentle movement can support greater resilience, presence, and well-being in daily life.

This class emphasizes learning individual skills in community. While the practices are shared in a group setting, participants are encouraged to move at their own pace and discover what feels supportive for their own body and nervous system.

This class may be supportive for adults who:

• Feel overwhelmed, burnt out, or constantly “on”
• Want to reconnect with their body in a gentle way
• Are curious about nervous system regulation
• Appreciate quiet, reflective spaces for slowing down

FAQ
  • Do the classes build on each other? Will I miss anything if I join later or come intermittently?
    • No. Each class is designed as a standalone practice, so you won’t feel behind if you join partway through or attend intermittently.
  • Is this class therapy?
    • No. This class is educational and experiential, and is not a substitute for psychotherapy or medical care. While it is facilitated by a mental health professional, the focus is on learning and practicing nervous system care skills in a group setting.
  • How many people will be in the class?
    • To maintain a calm and supportive environment, class size is limited so participants have enough space for movement and reflection.
